Senior Global Revenue Recognition Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Germany; remote work with a flexible hybrid model

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end revenue recognition for software licenses, SaaS, and professional services across 20 countries under IFRS 15 and local GAAP.
• Analyze customer contracts and collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Business Operations on accounting implications and deal structures.
• Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for revenue and related accounts.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements under IFRS and HGB, and coordinate group reporting and consolidation.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and technical accounting memos.
• Support audits and improve financial systems and processes through automation and scalable cloud-first solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is advantageous.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, preferably in software or professional services.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 15, and HGB.
• Experience with financial statement preparation, group reporting, and consolidation.
• Experience with SAP ERP, preferably S/4HANA, plus strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English and German required.
