Scrum Master III (SAFe)

TL;DR

Scrum Master III (SAFe): Facilitating and coaching development teams to adhere to Scrum and SAFe principles with an accent on removing impediments and fostering continuous improvement. Focus on scaling agile practices, optimizing team maturity, and coordinating with DevOps and System teams.

Location: Must be based in Hoover, Alabama (3 days onsite role)

Salary: $60 - $65 per hour

What you will do

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure teams deliver planned value within the SAFe framework.
• Coach teams on self-organization, Agile values, and increasing Scrum maturity at a sustainable pace.
• Remove impediments beyond the team's authority and resolve conflicts to maintain healthy team dynamics.
• Coordinate with DevOps, System Teams, Shared Services, and other Scrum Masters to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Support the Product Owner in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog.
• Guide the team through estimating and forecasting processes.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite 3 days a week in Hoover, Alabama.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in business/development support and user story creation.
• First Level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, and/or SAFe Practitioner).
• Proven experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and ability to communicate technical info to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Second Level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II, and/or SAFe Advanced).
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches such as XP, Kanban, Crystal, or FDD.
• Experience with techniques like ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing.
• Previous experience as a Team Leader in coaching and developing teams.
