Location: On-site in Reston, Northern VA / DMV area; open to candidates willing to relocate
Salary: $160,000–$220,000 + early-stage equity

is building an AI recruiting operating system (Arbi) to unify talent organization workflows through reasoning-optimized models and deep workflow automation.
What you will do
- Lead technical demos for federal (USAF, VA, OPM, CBP) and commercial customers, handling architecture and security objections.
- Translate ambiguous customer requirements into detailed engineering tasks, sprint goals, and implementation plans.
- Establish and manage the engineering operating model, including sprint planning, resource allocation, and accountability.
- Support SBIR Phase III and federal procurement by defining technical requirements and feasibility early in the sales cycle.
- Scale the engineering team by sourcing, interviewing, and mentoring backend, frontend, AI/ML, and DevOps talent.
- Create technical sales enablement materials, including demo scripts, battlecards, and architecture diagrams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading engineering teams or product delivery.
- Strong foundation in modern SaaS architecture, APIs, cloud deployments, and production software delivery.
- Proven experience with AI/ML, GenAI, LLMs, RAG, or workflow automation.
- Ability to operate as a customer-facing leader with executive presence and strong communication skills.
- Must be located in the Northern VA / DMV area or willing to relocate.
Nice to have
- Experience in HR tech, recruiting technology, or workforce analytics.
- Background supporting federal customers, government procurement, or SBIR/STTR programs.
- Familiarity with ATS/HRIS systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, or iCIMS.
- Prior experience as a founder, founding engineer, or solutions architect.
