RF Designer (Electrical Engineering): Developing RF hardware for space-based communications payloads and ground-based assets with an accent on high-gain phased array antennas and SDR transceivers. Focus on taking hardware from conception through design and manufacturing to on-orbit operations.

What you will do

• Lead RF hardware development for space-based payloads and ground terminals from conception to on-orbit operations.
• Design and simulate RF subsystems including filters, amplifiers, and transitions.
• Perform component selection for frontend circuits, schematic capture, and layout.
• Support the fabrication of RF frontend PCBAs and antennas.
• Contribute to trade studies and radio system designs from a hardware perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in RF circuit and/or antenna design.
• Proficiency with RF simulation tools (ADS, Microwave Office) and PCB layout tools (Altium, Cadence).
• Strong knowledge of RF concepts: impedance matching, network analysis, and microwave components.
• Experience performing RF measurements using spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers.

Nice to have

• Experience with PA MMICs (matching, tuning, testing).
• Knowledge of modulation, DSP, or digital radio concepts.
• Experience with antenna design in CST or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ADCs, DACs, RFSoC, or SDR.
