Design Engineer (Manufacturing)

Salary: $82,000 - $102,000 CAD

What you will do

• Create and update 3D models, detailed drawings, and design documentation.
• Support reverse engineering, product improvements, and new concept design for Crawler Systems and Buckets.
• Perform analysis and simulation to ensure safe and reliable product design.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure design feasibility.
• Conduct field evaluations and product reviews via site and manufacturing visits.
• Manage product data and design changes within the PLM system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical design or product development within mining, construction, or heavy manufacturing.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, detailed drafting, and engineering analysis.
• Full, unrestricted work authorisation in Canada (hirify.global is unable to support work permits or sponsorship).
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel locally and regionally (10-20%).

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens NX, ANSYS, Siemens Teamcenter PLM, or 3D scanning.
• Spanish language capability (highly preferred) or French.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, mine site requirements, and MSHA or regional mine hazard training.
