TL;DR

Junior Engineering Technician (Infrastructure): Supporting engineering teams in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for critical infrastructure projects with an accent on CAD, BIM, and 3D tools. Focus on producing accurate project deliverables and applying basic engineering principles across civil, mechanical, structural, or electrical functions.

Location: Ann Arbor, MI, US. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment.

What you will do

  • Support engineering teams by performing technical tasks using basic engineering principles and practices.
  • Utilize CAD, BIM, and 3D tools to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation and project drawings.
  • Ensure all deliverables are accurate and compliant with the BV Quality Program and departmental guides.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of company standards and document control policies.
  • Identify the needs of internal and external clients to improve project outcomes.
  • Proactively research and share knowledge regarding the latest technologies and processes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate (preferred).
  • Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred).
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding, including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
