What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from user stories to operational support.
• Build and maintain tools for processing, distributing, and visualizing geospatial data.
• Actively participate in code reviews to maintain high quality and team standards.
• Execute small to medium-sized features with high-level technical support.
• Collaborate with team members to elevate technology and apply best practices.
• Communicate technical details fluidly and accurately to peers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to clear a NOAA background investigation.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, Clojure, and React.
• Proficiency with AWS services including S3, IAM, and Lambda.
• Strong commitment to automated testing and continuous integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js.
• AWS Certification.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo).
• Experience developing on macOS X.
