Platform Engineer (GCP)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the GCP-based platform to increase resilience and reduce single points of failure.
• Establish Developer Experience (DX) as a discipline by auditing and improving tooling and processes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, local development environments, and internal tooling.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and platform engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and curriculum teams to remove platform bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the adoption of AI tooling within the engineering practice.

Requirements

• Strong, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform or equivalent.
• Proven track record of improving and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with developer experience tooling, observability, or internal platforms.
• Comfortable working as a generalist across the entire platform stack.
• Must be based in the UK

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python-based or data-heavy engineering environments.
• Experience building platform culture from scratch in small or large organizations.
