Location: Hybrid (Must be based in San Francisco, San Jose, or Bellevue); presence in office required 4 days per week.

Salary: $266,000 – $445,000

What you will do

• Design and build internal tools and services to reduce friction for engineering teams.
• Own and evolve CI/CD infrastructure (Buildkite, GitHub Actions) to support scaling.
• Create reusable patterns and templates to establish "paved paths" for software delivery.
• Develop release engineering tooling for improved code shipping confidence and control.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve developer workflow bottlenecks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and maintain reliable, observable systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, release engineering, or developer tooling.
• Proficiency in writing production-quality software, preferably in Go or Python.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD systems (e.g., Buildkite, GitHub Actions) and extending them.
• Strong foundation in Terraform and cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
• Experience building agentic workflows to automate the software delivery lifecycle.
• Must be based in San Francisco, San Jose, or Bellevue to work in-office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience driving AI tooling adoption or leading large-scale migrations.
• Scaling AWS environments (accounts, permissions, resource organization).
• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure or high-performance computing (HPC).
