TL;DR

Casualty NDA File Handler (Legal): Managing a caseload of Employer Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) cases for insurance clients with an accent on forensic analysis of evidence and litigation strategy. Focus on handling Fast-Track and Multi-Track cases, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with SRA standards.

Location: Hybrid in Bolton, UK. Attendance required 1 day a week in the office

What you will do

  • Manage a varied caseload of EL/PL cases, setting strategy and handling matters according to client SLAs.
  • Review forensic evidence including witness statements, GP records, and property inspection reports.
  • Conduct investigations, CMCs, and applications, and manage the disclosure process.
  • Instruct counsel, investigators, and medical experts, including drafting questions for experts.
  • Prepare costs schedules, pre-trial reports, and trial bundles.
  • Attend conferences and trials with counsel and handle CRU appeals.

Requirements

  • Experience handling a caseload of EL/PL files and previous litigation experience.
  • Strong advocacy, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • High level of analytical skills and the ability to maintain strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work from the Bolton office at least one day per week.
