What you will do

• Coordinate day-to-day automation engineering activities in Mexico, ensuring clear priorities and alignment.
• Lead technical activities across project execution, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to support team capability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in project, service, and sales to translate customer needs into engineering actions.
• Ensure alignment with global standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Drive simplification, standardization, and productivity improvements in automation workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Automation Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team of 8+ direct reports in a global company.
• Proficiency in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation solutions.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Basic understanding of instrumentation, electrical diagrams, control wiring, and industrial networks.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, EPLAN, Visio, or MS Project.
• Experience with virtualization, cybersecurity, databases, and ISA-S88/S95.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and/or French.
