AI Tooling Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

AI Tooling Engineer (AI/LLM Tooling): Developing and owning the internal AI productivity layer, agentic workflows, and accelerators to increase team leverage with an accent on maintaining the dev/AI stack and optimizing documentation for AI consumption. Focus on building custom MCPs, coordinating agent development across squads, and scaling internal codegen skills.

Location: Remote. Must be based in Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, or Portugal and possess the right to work in the respective country (no visa sponsorship or relocation provided).

What you will do

• Maintain and evolve internal AI tooling including Claude Code, Cursor, custom MCPs, hooks, and skill repos.
• Build internal accelerators such as codegen skills, scaffolding tools, and a shared recipes repository.
• Coordinate and drive agent development across multiple squads as a technical lead.
• Optimize documentation for both human and machine consumption to enhance AI agent readiness.
• Harmonize agent-related architectural decisions across different squads.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software development, specifically in platform or internal-tools roles.
• Strong AI and MCP exposure with a track record of building agent-augmented workflows in production.
• Proven experience building internal tooling at scale.
• Right to work in Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, or Portugal.
• Fluent English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Expertise in AI-assisted coding and Claude Code workflows.
