What you will do

• Design and build complex backend AI modules, including custom agentic workflows and multi-step reasoning chains.
• Architect and optimize RAG pipelines over unstructured and multi-modal data using advanced chunking and re-ranking techniques.
• Implement and manage vector database solutions tailored to specific query patterns and latency requirements.
• Own the end-to-end deployment of AI services using Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools.
• Identify patterns across client engagements to develop reusable internal libraries and platform abstractions.
• Maintain production systems with structured logging, alerting, and cost monitoring.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• 1+ years of experience shipping production AI agents in client-facing or fast-paced environments.
• Must be based in Colombia.
• Proficiency in Python and Node.js with strong command of backend architecture patterns.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases, RAG optimization, and agentic orchestration.
• Infrastructure fluency with IaC tools (Terraform or Pulumi), Docker, and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Certified Claude Architect or ability to earn the certification within 60 days.
• Expertise in using AI coding assistants as a force multiplier.
