DevOps Lead, Cloud Automation & Reliability

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Georgia, or Mountain View, California; requires working three days per week in the local hirify.global office and residing within reasonable commuting distance.

Salary: $134,400–$280,000 per year, plus potential participation in a corporate bonus program.

What you will do

• Lead and support a team of site reliability engineers through technical guidance, mentoring, and career development.
• Participate in hands-on technical problem solving, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Design scalable solutions and troubleshoot issues across security, networking, availability, cost control, and service adoption.
• Improve CI/CD, configuration management, deployment automation, and cloud-native infrastructure reliability.
• Define and deliver team-level SLOs for automation, deployments, and service reliability.
• Coordinate project priorities and timelines while promoting engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in technical leadership.
• At least 5 years of experience with customer-facing SaaS services.
• At least 5 years managing AWS or similar infrastructure at global scale.
• Strong development experience in Python, Ruby, or a similar language.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management, including tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Experience managing teams and delivering software from design through deployment, with proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD practices.
