Test Development Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Deerfield, Wisconsin, United States; onsite

Annual salary: $85,000–$105,000

The Acute Care Technology division serves EMS, hospital, public safety, and military customers with products including AEDs, trauma kits, ventilators, and temperature management solutions.

What you will do

• Design and develop test systems, fixtures, hardware, software, and production test processes for new medical products.
• Assemble, debug, document, validate, and release test equipment for ZOLL locations and supplier sites.
• Develop test plans, validation plans, test strategies, and test requirements.
• Support production operations and suppliers with test equipment and process needs.
• Provide work direction to test development technicians and production test or assembly personnel when assigned.
• Schedule projects and support delivery within defined timelines and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; a BSEE is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in production testing and electro-mechanical assembly environments.
• Experience developing ICT, functional, and reliability tests, including HALT and HASS.
• Working knowledge of analog, digital, and high-voltage circuit design, as well as software design.
• Experience developing production test fixtures and test software, preferably with LabView and TestStand.
• Project management experience with responsibility for schedules and budgets.

Nice to have

• BSEE degree.
• Experience with FDA QSR documentation requirements.
• Proficiency with common PC applications such as Word and Excel.
