Regulatory and Compliance - Associate (Investment Compliance)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; office attendance required Monday through Thursday, with remote work available on Friday

Salary: CAD 80,000–95,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, communicate, maintain, and monitor compliance policies and procedures for securities regulations including NI 31-103, NI 81-102, and NI 45-106.
• Prepare and file regulatory reports, capital market participation fee filings, certifications, and other compliance documentation.
• Manage the Canada Compliance Calendar, deadlines, records, and regulatory filings.
• Support regulatory audits, inquiries, inspections, and monitoring of regulatory developments.
• Coordinate compliance training, employee attestations, board meetings, meeting packages, and minutes.
• Partner with business teams, internal departments, external parties, and stakeholders on compliance and corporate governance matters.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in compliance, business controls, operations, or regulatory work with an investment fund manager, portfolio manager, or exempt market dealer regulated by Canadian securities authorities.
• Expertise in private funds and investment management compliance.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently or collaboratively.
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and DocuSign.

• Bilingual English and French communication skills.
