TL;DR

Active Directory Infrastructure Engineer (Active Directory): Implementing and optimizing enterprise identity infrastructure with an accent on domain controller deployment, virtualization, and security standards. Focus on designing secure AD architectures, automating tasks via PowerShell, and resolving complex authentication and replication issues.

Location: Hybrid (3 days on site in Charlotte, NC)

What you will do

• Deploy and manage Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Group Policies, and Organizational Units.
• Manage applications supporting AD services and update configurations to address vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex authentication, replication, and access control issues.
• Develop and enforce AD security standards, including privileged access management and audit logging.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and application teams to integrate AD with enterprise and cloud platforms.
• Utilize Jira and Agile methodologies to manage workload and delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Active Directory Engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in building, configuring, and virtualizing Active Directory Domain Controllers.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, and DNS.
• Experience working within Agile environments using Jira.
• Must be eligible for W2 employment (No C2C).

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure AD and hybrid identity solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V Management.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
