What you will do
- Prepare and book monthly financial statements, including cash transactions, accruals, and investment activity.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, specifically outstanding receivable and payable balances.
- Calculate financial ratios and net worth runoff metrics to support regulatory and financial reviews.
- Prepare quarterly and ad hoc financial performance materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between the company, warranty owners, and investment advisors to ensure compliance with state insurance laws.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and leverage technology, including AI-enabled tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Experience preparing or supporting financial statements.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
Nice to have
- Exposure to or experience reviewing investment statements and accounting activities.
- Prior experience in insurance, warranty, or financial services industries.
- Experience supporting regulatory or compliance-driven financial reporting.
