TL;DR
Product Developer (AI/Fullstack): Designing and building full-stack applications with an accent on deep AI integration using LLMs, embeddings, and automation pipelines. Focus on architecting scalable backend systems and implementing RAG to deliver intelligent user-facing features.
Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC. Employer does not offer work visa sponsorship.
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000

What you will do
- Design and build full-stack applications from concept to production using React, Next.js, and Node.js, PHP, or Python.
- Integrate AI capabilities such as LLMs, vector search, and AI agents into product experiences.
- Architect scalable, API-first, and event-driven backend systems and data flows.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-driven features and products.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define features, UX, and system behavior.
- Optimize the performance, reliability, and cost of AI systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks: React, Next.js, or Astro.
- Experience with backend development (Node.js, PHP, Python) and REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Proven track record of building and shipping production applications.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, and Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Must be based in or able to work in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid); no visa sponsorship available.
Nice to have
- Experience with vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, or Upstash Vector.
- Knowledge of ML fundamentals including fine-tuning and model selection.
- Experience with serverless platforms or edge computing.
- Background in developer platforms or API-first products.
- Previous startup or small-team experience.
