What you will do

• Provide guidance to the team and coordinate daily laboratory workflows.
• Train non-licensed personnel and perform competency assessments.
• Lead the implementation of new processes and departmental standard operating procedures.
• Assist with molecular genetic testing and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Identify and report specimen processing issues to management.
• Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and inventory supplies.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in San Diego, California.
• Shift requirement: Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00am - 1:30pm.
• Associate’s degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological sciences, or medical technology.
• 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a BSL-1/BSL-2 environment.
