What you will do
- Drive license and registration applications across MENA jurisdictions from initial strategy to final approval.
- Coordinate with external regulatory advisors and local law firms on structural and licensing assessments.
- Maintain and update the regional licensing tracker and regulatory frameworks for day-to-day use.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of regulatory reports and compliance submissions for MENA entities.
- Assess how regulatory requirements apply to new business flows and products to design compliant operating models.
- Provide expert regulatory advice to internal teams and support merchant/partner onboarding.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, or a comparable field.
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs or compliance within fintech, payments, or financial institutions in the MENA region.
- Deep knowledge of MENA financial services regulations, including payment licensing, AML/CFT, and data privacy.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Proven experience managing direct relationships and submissions with MENA financial authorities.
- Strong analytical skills to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.
