Product Lead Counsel (Cryptocurrency)

Location: Remote-first, with the role available in Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, or the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Lead legal and regulatory guidance across the full product lifecycle, from ideation and launch through ongoing operations.
• Advise product teams on regulatory implications of new features, enhancements, and market expansions across jurisdictions.
• Assess and mitigate regulatory risks across spot and derivatives trading, payments, digital assets, and emerging products.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, compliance, risk, and business development teams to shape product decisions.
• Build scalable product compliance frameworks and controls for diverse regulatory environments.
• Engage with regulators and external counsel, lead governance forums, and deliver cross-functional regulatory training.

Requirements

• Qualification to practice law in a leading jurisdiction with significant international regulatory legal experience.
• 10+ years of experience in regulatory legal roles, preferably in-house at a technology, financial services, or cryptocurrency company.
• Deep knowledge of financial product regulation, including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, and digital assets.
• Experience working with product and engineering teams, managing complex compliance matters, and engaging regulators across jurisdictions.
• Experience leading and scaling legal teams across regions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, business acumen, and solutions-oriented decision-making skills.
