TL;DR
Associate, Payroll Implementations (Payroll/Integrations): Support payroll implementations automation and ensure flawless contribution processing by configuring, testing, and resolving complex, client-specific payroll integration scenarios with an accent on integration accuracy, client onboarding outcomes, and data integrity. Focus on independent analysis of client payroll configurations, evaluating implementation approaches, and driving remediation/escalation paths across internal teams, external payroll partners, and clients.
Location: Based in New York City, Austin, King of Prussia, or Scottsdale office (hybrid in-office operation)
Salary: $60K - $72K base

What you will do
- Coordinate payroll system integrations to make payroll implementation frictionless across varied client configurations and onboarding scenarios.
- Configure and test integrations for a high volume of clients simultaneously, assessing readiness, identifying risk, and escalating when needed.
- Analyze client-specific payroll configurations, evaluate multiple implementation approaches, and resolve complex integration issues affecting data accuracy.
- Act as a subject matter expert on payroll integration implementation tasks across payroll systems and products.
- Develop internal and client-facing knowledge bases and improve processes by identifying gaps and recommending efficiencies.
- Manage migration and deactivation of existing client integrations, ensuring smooth transitions through proactive communication and careful sequencing.
Requirements
- 1+ year relevant experience in Financial Services, Operations, or SaaS industries.
- Experience in a project management/implementation/operational role with discretion managing complex, multi-variable workstreams.
- Strong project management skills: independent prioritization and sequencing; ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and with a team with minimal supervision while exercising judgment.
- Effective communication with multiple stakeholders, including determining when and how to escalate based on assessed risk and impact.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; proficiency using tools such as Excel to analyze implementation data.
Nice to have
- Payroll system experience.
- Retirement industry experience, including exposure to regulated operational environments or ERISA-adjacent processes.
