Software Engineer (C++/Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain software infrastructure for payload and spacecraft system integration.
• Design and validate communication interfaces between payload systems, embedded software, and spacecraft hardware.
• Run software and hardware integration testing across simulated and hardware-integrated environments.
• Build Python and Bash tooling and automation frameworks to improve testing reliability and operational efficiency.
• Support deployment and validation across multiple software and hardware targets.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and Integration & Test teams to diagnose system-level issues and improve reliability, observability, documentation, and test coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of equivalent industry experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and experience developing in Linux-based environments.
• Experience with CMake, Bash, Python, software deployment, and validation across multiple targets.
• Experience with software/hardware integration testing, debugging, and system validation methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• For the U.S. role, eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or other protected individuals under applicable U.S. export regulations.

Nice to have

• Embedded Linux, QEMU, Yocto, GitLab CI/CD, or automated test infrastructure experience.
• Experience in aerospace, satellite systems, robotics, automotive, or other high-reliability environments.
• Familiarity with network protocols, distributed systems, and automation or operational tooling.
