What you will do
- Lead investigations into complex ethics and integrity cases for books and journals to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain editorial policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect scholarly practices.
- Audit publications for adherence to peer review and research integrity best practices.
- Provide expert advice and support to colleagues regarding editorial policies and processes.
- Create and deliver workshops on publishing ethics for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion policy initiatives to ensure alignment across various departments and journal practices.
Requirements
- Experience in research within STM or AHSS disciplines.
- Professional background in scholarly books publishing and editorial experience assessing manuscripts for quality and ethics.
- Proven track record of handling and advising on complex, sensitive research ethics cases.
- Comprehensive understanding of publication ethics standards and guidelines.
- Must have the right to work and live in the UK.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to manage projects under tight deadlines.
