SLC Compliance Officer (Higher Education)

What you will do

• Own and maintain the compliance framework for domestic admissions and partner and agent activity.
• Develop and implement policies, controls, and monitoring aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Deliver risk-based monitoring and audit programmes.
• Ensure recruitment practices meet consumer protection requirements and support fair student outcomes.
• Support regulatory reviews, audits, and investigations.
• Provide compliance reporting, guidance, and training to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in compliance, audit, legal, or quality assurance roles within UK-regulated environments.
• Strong audit and monitoring experience.
• Strong knowledge of OfS requirements, including partner oversight, admissions controls, quality and standards, and student protection obligations.
• Experience overseeing third parties, including agents and partners.
• High integrity, attention to detail, resilience, organisation, and strong stakeholder management.
• Successful applicants must complete criminal records, reference, identity, right-to-work, and education checks.
