Director Accounting North America (Finance)

What you will do

• Lead and manage the North America G/L Accounting team for US and Canadian entities.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes under IFRS and manage end-to-end financial audits.
• Prepare monthly P&L reports for the CFO and senior management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners including auditors and tax advisors.
• Drive process improvements and the strategic implementation of SAP S/4HANA.
• Adopt new technologies and AI tools to evolve accounting practices in a digital age.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Deep hands-on expertise in IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
• Several years of leadership experience in accounting within an international corporate environment.
• Proficiency with SAP or comparable ERP systems.
• Fluent English is essential; German skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively across different time zones, cultures, and hierarchies.
