Finance Director, EMEA

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Salary: €124,255.26–€164,327.58 per year; actual compensation varies by location, job level, experience, and skills. Additional bonuses or other compensation may apply.

hirify.global provides technology-enabled grading, authentication, vaulting, and sales services for collectible trading cards, autographs, comics, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia through brands including PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end accounting for the German entity and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Deliver consolidation-ready reporting, including multi-currency translation and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare German HGB statutory financial statements, manage the local statutory audit, and coordinate with the US group auditor.
• Execute German VAT, corporate income tax, and other local filings in partnership with Corporate Tax.
• Operate the corporate internal controls framework locally and partner with Business Systems on German NetSuite localization and process automation.
• Build the German accounting function, coordinate with the Works Council and local Legal and HR teams, and prepare the function for broader EMEA scope.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree, MBA, or German equivalent is preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5 years leading accounting for a subsidiary or multinational entity.
• Deep knowledge of German HGB and strong working knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with ASC 830 foreign currency accounting, multi-currency consolidation, German statutory audits, and ERP systems; NetSuite is strongly preferred.
• Native or professional German fluency at C1/C2 level and business-fluent English are required.
• Wirtschaftsprüfer or Steuerberater qualification is strongly preferred; US CPA, UK CA, or an equivalent qualification is acceptable. Periodic travel to Santa Ana, California, and other hirify.global locations is expected.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Betriebsrat coordination and German employment law as it relates to accounting.
• Experience building or scaling a subsidiary accounting function with lean teams and third-party partners.
