What you will do
- Maintain the general ledger and post or review AP/AR invoices, journal entries, payroll, revenue, and FX transactions across two group entities.
- Manage accruals, prepayments, provisions, fixed assets, depreciation, and multi-currency accounting.
- Perform month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and account movement investigations.
- Prepare management reporting packs, including P&L, balance sheet, and supporting schedules.
- Monitor cash flow, perform intercompany reconciliations, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Support external and PCAOB audits, ensure US GAAP compliance, and improve data integrity and accounting processes in DATEV and Odoo.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of relevant post-qualification financial accounting experience.
- Qualified as Bilanzbuchhalter/in (IHK), or equivalent Ausbildung with significant hands-on financial accounting experience.
- DATEV-Prüfung certification and strong practical DATEV knowledge are required.
- Mandatory knowledge of US GAAP; PCAOB/SEC reporting experience is advantageous.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, month-end close, management accounts, variance analysis, multi-currency transactions, and FX.
- Confident use of Excel and accounting systems such as Odoo or similar SaaS ERP; fluent German and business-proficient English are both required.
