What you will do

• Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and the creation of traceability matrices.
• Direct the development of system architecture and detailed design specifications, facilitating design reviews.
• Oversee functional, integration, and system testing, ensuring validation in real-world environments.
• Manage the scoping, planning, estimating, and tracking of engineering tasks and resources.
• Perform Control Account Manager and Work Package Manager duties.
• Mentor and lead engineering teams to foster talent development and a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on complex military and software-intensive systems.
• Degree in systems, mechanical, or electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance are mandatory.
• Proficiency in advanced systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or Cradle.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the ASDEFCON context.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams while managing multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CPEng (Engineers Australia) or INCOSE (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP).
