What you will do

• Lead and participate in platform product development initiatives for the Silicon Photonics product team.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs using 3D CAD and create 2D fabrication drawings.
• Direct system and sub-system design efforts, establishing technical direction and long-term product roadmaps.
• Manage Engineering Change & Release documents (ECN/ECO).
• Build, debug, and test prototype designs, supporting the NPI team with early access units.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to identify alternative vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (advanced degree is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in the design and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in Solidworks for 3D CAD modeling and FEA (Solidworks Simulation or Ansys Workbench).
• Experience with Solidworks EPDM and PLM software such as TeamCenter or WindChill.
• Knowledge of GD&T standards and ability to create detailed mechanical drawings and cable schematics.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 20%.
