What you will do

• Build multi-modal sensor fusion architectures and spatial-temporal representation learners for object detection, tracking, and semantic segmentation.
• Develop scalable recipes for large-scale model training utilizing Alphabet’s compute infrastructure.
• Implement methods for distributed fine-tuning to allow simultaneous model improvements without production regressions.
• Develop and maintain model evaluation metrics to measure and enhance the performance of pre-trained and fine-tuned models.
• Collaborate with downstream teams to optimize and integrate perception systems into the Waymo Driver.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent deep learning experience.
• 3+ years experience in Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.

Nice to have

• MS or PhD Degree in Machine Learning, Robotics, or Computer Science.
• Publications at top-tier conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, or NeurIPS.
• Experience with C++.
