What you will do

• Lead and support the Platform team, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and psychological safety.
• Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to shape the roadmap, plan deliverables, and align the team.
• Drive delivery of work that improves the scalability, reliability, and security of the platform.
• Mentor engineers through regular 1:1s and career growth planning.
• Stay hands-on by reviewing code, making tactical technical calls, and contributing to the codebase when necessary.
• Engage with customers to identify platform friction and translate real-world signals into team direction.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams with a track record of collaboration and delivery.
• Strong Platform/SRE background in maintaining large-scale applications and ensuring reliability.
• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, AWS containerised environments (Fargate), and Terraform.
• Deep operational experience with deployment safety practices, including canaries, blue/green deployments, and smoke tests.
• Operational maturity regarding infrastructure upgrades, SOC2 compliance, and on-call coordination.
• Must be based in the ANZ Region to ensure synchronous overlap.
