Strategic Finance Lead (AI)

TL;DR

Strategic Finance Lead (AI/Healthcare): Partnering with executive leaders to provide financial performance insights and lead budgeting and investor reporting with an accent on strategic planning and operational analysis. Focus on developing complex financial models, optimizing KPI dashboards, and automating financial operations to scale business impact.

Location: Must be based in the USA. Remote permitted, but Bay Area-based employees are required to be in the San Mateo office at least three days a week.

Salary: $120k – $145k + Equity

What you will do

• Oversee the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop monthly financial reporting packages, quarterly board materials, and KPIs for executive leadership.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Head of Finance on future fundraising and M&A activities.
• Partner with department heads, sales, and marketing leadership to analyze pipelines, win rates, and pricing.
• Lead the enhancement of KPI dashboards to support organizational performance monitoring.
• Build and automate strategic finance processes and lead ambitious business-shaping projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a similar field.
• 4-7 years of relevant experience, ideally in high-growth organizations, investment banking, or consulting.
• Expertise in developing financial models in Excel/Google Sheets and deep understanding of GAAP financial statements.
• Ability to leverage AI to scale impact and automate workflows.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to synthesize results into strategic recommendations.
• Work authorization and residency in the United States.
