Location: Hybrid (US) - Must be based in the US and able to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Salary: $143,200 – $285,600 per year

What you will do

• Architect and develop reliable, high-performance data-path software for large-scale enterprise and hybrid cloud environments.
• Design innovative solutions for complex distributed systems based on customer requirements.
• Optimize the performance, scalability, and resiliency of distributed storage systems.
• Collaborate with development, test, documentation, and product management teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Engage with customers and support teams to solve critical production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
• 6-10 years of experience in designing and developing applications.
• Expertise in one or more languages: C++, C, or Java.
• Solid understanding of OS internals, data structures, algorithms, and distributed data management.
• Proven ability to build clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed applications or systems software.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience with file systems, operating systems, or database back-ends.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Cassandra, or Zookeeper.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like KVM, VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen.
