What you will do
- Lead lab-software operations to test and develop centralized computing modules and power electronics.
- Develop and manage lab equipment driver software and establish standards for software architecture and coding best practices.
- Implement AI solutions and develop communications for Automotive Ethernet, LIN, CAN, RS232, and GPIB.
- Collaborate with Test Systems Engineers to build and verify test scripts and resolve software issues.
- Manage software/driver installations on lab computers and ensure compliance with IT standards.
- Act as a liaison to the computer-aided test group to manage applications like National Instruments and Atlassian/Git products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Experience with revision control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Familiarity with electrical circuits, hardware interfaces, and data acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication tools for CAN/CANFD, LIN, SENT, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of software development experience in a test laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW and Python.
- Experience with Vehicle Spy, Lauterbach, and National Instruments automated testing systems.
- Familiarity with SDV controllers, power electronics, motors, or high-voltage electrical laboratories.
