TL;DR

Junior Red Hat Linux Engineer (RHEL): Designing and implementing Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS) for Government Enterprise Networks with an accent on infrastructure operation, maintenance, and security compliance. Focus on automating patching, managing Nessus scanners, and implementing DISA STIGs to ensure network security.

What you will do

• Install and patch operating systems and applications following DISA STIGs across various network environments.
• Design and document ACAS solutions, including IP addressing, FQDNs, and physical component mapping.
• Maintain Nessus scanners and Passive Vulnerability Scanners (PVS) connectivity with the Security Center.
• Develop network diagrams using Microsoft Visio and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in SharePoint.
• Build Linux servers using DISA-provided ISO images.
• Provide reporting and training to operators and Information Assurance personnel.

Requirements

• Secret Clearance (Must have clearance to start).
• DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM II certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CISM, GCED).
• 3+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7.x or greater) in enterprise environments.
• Experience with virtualized environments, specifically vSphere and ESXI.
• Proficiency in LVM partitioning, RPM package management, and SSH troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of network configuration (nmtui, nmcli, netstat) and OS hardening.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite Version 6.12 or higher.
• Experience with AWS/Azure Cloud (Security Groups, VPC, IAM, Autoscaling).
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Nessus Attack Scripting Language (NASL).
• Experience with RHEL migration using the Leapp utility.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, or Kerberos.
