What you will do

• Provide day-to-day operational support for complex cloud application systems.
• Detect, isolate, and resolve system outages, including developing workarounds and restoring operations.
• Perform maintenance and installation of computing infrastructure.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies for IT systems and procedures.
• Ensure strict compliance with VA standards and security policies.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to maintain seamless production operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related production environments.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
• Proficiency in AWS/Azure cloud services, Linux/Unix, and Windows.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and monitoring tools (DynaTrace, CloudWatch).
• Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and VPN setups.

Nice to have

• Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Medical Claims (X.12).
• Advanced certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
