Senior Network Engineer (Global Backbone & Datacenter) (Juniper)

TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer (Juniper/Ansible): Building and supporting global network infrastructure spanning service provider backbone and high-performance datacenter environments with an accent on automation, low latency, and scalability. Focus on deploying network configurations using Ansible, troubleshooting complex routing protocols, and optimizing traffic flow via Kentik.

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA) - 2 days a week onsite. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Relocation support is available.

What you will do

• Deploy and maintain network configurations using automation tools like Ansible and Netbox.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across backbone and datacenter environments from hardware to protocol layers.
• Monitor traffic and identify bottlenecks using Kentik to assist in capacity planning.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams for operational clarity.
• Support DDoS mitigation and enforce network security policies and practices.
• Collaborate with architects and product teams to handle customer escalations and technical projects.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in ISP or datacenter environments.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EVPN-VXLAN, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper hardware (MX, QFX, SRX, EX).
• Proficiency in Ansible and Python for network automation and scripting.
• Experience with Netbox and monitoring tools like Kentik and Grafana.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA and based near or open to relocating to Atlanta.

Nice to have

• JNCIP-SP, JNCIP-DC, or similar mid-level certifications.
• Familiarity with storage, virtualization, and cloud fundamentals.
