IT Networking Systems Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Must be based in or work from Riverton, UT or Bluffdale, UT (Onsite)

What you will do

• Manage high-speed NVIDIA/Mellanox fabrics (200G/400G+) and core protocols including BGP and ECMP.
• Administer VMware (ESXi) and Proxmox virtualization environments, including virtual switching and host management.
• Drive long-term strategic planning for data center space, power, cooling, and budgeting.
• Implement and expand infrastructure-as-code using Ansible and Terraform.
• Manage the full hardware lifecycle of Dell servers and implement best-practice rack layouts (35KW+/rack).
• Coordinate with DC providers to ensure service levels and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of 200G/400G+ links, high-performance interconnects, and L3 routing (BGP, ECMP).
• Proficiency in Linux administration (Debian, CentOS, or RHEL) and hypervisors (VMware, Proxmox).
• Strong proficiency in Python and Bash for automation and custom monitoring tools.
• Mastery of Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure deployment.
• Willingness to work up to five days per week onsite in Riverton, UT or Bluffdale, UT.
• Ability to perform physical rack/stack activities, including lifting loads up to 50lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience in architecture and administration of AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI environments.
