Principal Machine Learning Systems Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the Americas; listed office locations include San Francisco and Seattle, United States.

Base pay in the United States: $196,400–$309,025 annually, depending on geographic pay zone.

What you will do

• Build customer-facing generative AI applications and agent harnesses for Rovo Chat.
• Apply advanced machine learning innovations to improve product quality, reliability, and latency.
• Drive complex engineering projects from technical design through launch.
• Lead and support engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal customers.
• Set expectations, gather input, and communicate project results.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Experience building customer-facing generative AI applications at scale.
• Experience advancing state-of-the-art quality and reliability.
• Deep understanding of the machine learning project lifecycle.
• Experience efficiently scaling and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience leading senior engineers and working cross-functionally.
