TL;DR
Renewals Leader (AI): Building and scaling the renewals function for consumption-based AI systems with an accent on protecting and growing recurring revenue. Focus on developing operational playbooks, implementing rigorous forecasting, and managing customer commitments to ensure predictable growth.
Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY). Must be in office at least 25% of the time.
Salary: $260,000 - $315,000 USD (OTE)

What you will do
- Build and lead the renewals team, including hiring and developing Renewals Managers.
- Own renewal bookings, gross/net retention, and forecast accuracy.
- Define a scalable operating model and playbooks adapted for consumption-based revenue.
- Drive accurate weekly and monthly renewal forecasting based on usage data and health signals.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to convert adoption depth into expanded commitments.
- Collaborate with Deal Desk, Finance, and Strategy & Operations on pricing, terms, and alignment.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in SaaS, PaaS, or consumption-led businesses.
- 3–5+ years of people management experience leading renewals or commercial teams.
- Proven track record of exceeding retention targets in complex enterprise deal cycles.
- Strong analytical mindset with expertise in pipeline management and evidence-based forecasting.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Finance, and Customer Success.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

- Direct experience with usage-based pricing models and their retention dynamics.
- Background in AI, cloud, or developer-platform businesses.
- Experience building a renewals function from the ground up.
