Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Austin, TX, Dallas, TX, or Morristown, NJ (Hybrid)
Salary: $159,000 - $261,250

What you will do
- Develop and mature the enterprise-wide compliance framework, policies, and internal controls.
- Implement risk-based monitoring and testing programs to identify and correct non-compliance.
- Manage regulatory examinations, including market conduct and financial exams, across all states.
- Partner with business stakeholders to assess risk exposure and develop actionable remediation plans.
- Provide compliance advisory for new products, business initiatives, and technology deployments.
- Prepare and deliver compliance reporting to the General Counsel and Board of Directors.
Requirements
- 10+ years of compliance experience in the insurance industry, specifically with P&C or specialty lines.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing compliance teams.
- Deep knowledge of state insurance regulatory frameworks and DOI examination processes.
- Proven ability to build or scale compliance programs from the ground up.
- Strong executive communication skills for presenting to senior leadership and non-legal audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. or professional compliance certification (CCEP, AICP) strongly preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience at a publicly traded company and familiarity with SEC compliance.
- Background in insurtech, MGA platforms, or program business environments.
