TL;DR

Location: Fully Remote within specific US states (AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA)

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually

What you will do

  • Oversee daily operations and performance of State Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Licensing functions across the insurance lifecycle.
  • Manage and develop compliance supervisors, analysts, and regulatory staff through coaching and quality reviews.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in insurance laws, regulations, and enforcement trends across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead the operational implementation of regulatory changes into business processes, workflows, and communications.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide risk-based recommendations and operational compliance guidance.
  • Support regulatory interactions, examinations, audits, and market conduct preparedness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field, OR 8–10+ years of insurance compliance experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience within compliance or insurance operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of state insurance regulations, market conduct standards, and licensing requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to independently assess operational risk exposure and develop practical compliant solutions.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills for presenting findings to leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Nice to have

  • Professional designations such as CPCU®, AINS®, IRES, or ARC.
  • Experience with Power BI, reporting tools, or compliance tracking platforms.
