What you will do

• Lead mortality-related assumptions for product development, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain expected mortality models and assumption frameworks.
• Predict mortality outcomes using post-issue audit data and mortality risk scores.
• Collaborate with underwriting and data science teams to monitor actual-to-expected mortality experience.
• Utilize AI to accelerate the pace of insights and maximize business impact.
• Advise senior leadership and external partners by translating technical work into actionable business recommendations.

Requirements

• FSA or near-FSA designation preferred; experienced ASA candidates considered.
• 5+ years of experience in life insurance actuarial roles with exposure to mortality and underwriting models.
• Proficiency with modern data tools and pipelines including SQL, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Strong statistical modeling skills in R or Python.
• Proficiency with Excel and actuarial modeling tools.
• Must be based in the United States.
