What you will do

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise API platform capabilities to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Build and manage scalable API proxies and services supporting REST and SOAP-based integrations.
• Implement security frameworks including OAuth, JWT, mTLS, and API key management.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks for consistent API deployments and lifecycle management.
• Configure API traffic policies, including rate limiting, caching, and load balancing, to optimize performance.
• Integrate APIs with backend systems and microservices to enable seamless data exchange.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or analytical modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
• Experience with hybrid data processing methods including Apache Spark, Kafka, Hive, or Pig.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure including GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Must be based in the US; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or F-1 STEM OPT extension.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or operating API management platforms, specifically Apigee X.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Helm.
• GCP or Kubernetes certifications.
• Experience with data virtualization (Denodo) or BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
