What you will do

• Design and manage scalable data platforms for real-time analytics and batch processing using AI-assisted development workflows.
• Own the full data lifecycle, including ingestion, ETL, storage, and serving, leveraging Kafka, Kinesis, and Databricks.
• Architect medallion-layer data models (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to ensure clean, well-documented schemas.
• Develop AI-ready tooling, such as custom prompts and agent workflows, to accelerate pipeline scaffolding and documentation.
• Build and improve Databricks Genie chatbots to allow non-technical users to query data using natural language.
• Collaborate with product analytics and data science teams to transform unstructured data into production-ready datasets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with high-volume data infrastructure.
• Core stack proficiency: Databricks, AWS (EMR, Kinesis/Kafka, S3), Apache Spark, Apache Airflow (MWAA), SQL, and Python.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• Experience with data quality frameworks such as Great Expectations or DQX.
• Proven ability to architect logical/physical data models and optimize SQL performance.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for cloud provisioning.
