Salary: $165,000 – $195,000 base + stock options

What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate custom API connectors between Karman and customer-specific DCIM platforms and management APIs.
• Build and execute configuration checkers and test suites to validate server builds across customer environments.
• Conduct benchmark-driven and exploratory performance testing to identify and resolve system bottlenecks.
• Develop a repeatable software integration playbook, including templates and documentation to scale the function.
• Collaborate with customer operations and internal engineering to translate needs into actionable integration designs.
• Automate the generation of test frameworks and deployment documentation using an AI-first approach.

Requirements

• 8+ years of server software engineering experience in data center server environments.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration, including server builds and OS configuration.
• Experience with Kubernetes (including bare metal), containers, and virtual machines.
• Proficiency in Python or Rust as a baseline.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as ZeroMQ, Protobuf, gRPC, or Kafka.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with GitOps-based deployment workflows (ArgoCD, Helm).
• Prior experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions or Platform Engineering.
