Salary: $130k – $220k

What you will do

• Design and build scalable Python backend services on Azure to process and serve sensor data.
• Architect cloud infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and release processes.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering to integrate software with physical sensor systems.
• Define foundational software architecture decisions and mentor engineers as the team grows.
• Travel periodically to other offices (LA, DC) and customer sites.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience designing and operating scalable backend systems in cloud environments (Azure strongly preferred).
• Track record of supporting production systems, including on-call and debugging outages under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident) for access to controlled technology.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience at a top-tier technology company building systems at scale.
• Background in data-intensive pipelines, streaming architectures, or real-time systems.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code, Docker, and Kubernetes on Azure.
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with TypeScript/React, 2D/3D geospatial visualization, or RF/IQ data processing.
