What you will do

• Design, implement, and deploy safety-critical software systems for ground mission operations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements and architectures.
• Develop rapid prototypes to validate concepts and mitigate technical risks.
• Lead system verification and qualification efforts to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Integrate software components and validate systems using hardware-in-the-loop simulators.
• Support mission control operations, including maintenance and problem correction during training and flight.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee.
• B.S. or higher in Software or Engineering related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven proficiency in Python and/or Rust.
• Experience in full lifecycle software engineering and scalable architecture design.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and build automation.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in critical applications like aerospace, nuclear, or aviation.
• Knowledge of space-based communication protocols such as CCSDS.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for software systems.
• Experience with fault-tolerant software design and human error prevention.
